The seven youngsters set for Barcelona's preseason tour of the USA
Following their elimination from the promotion playoffs to the Second Division, the Barcelona Atletic players have entered their holiday period. Lamine Yamal, who is currently under 16, will turn sixteen on July 13, coinciding with his eligibility to sign his first professional contract. In addition to these three players, three more candidates could potentially join them on the tour: Arnau Tenas, Chadi Riad, and Estanis Pedrola. Their involvement hinges on individual circumstances, as all three players appear to have reached the end of a cycle in the reserve team. It is possible that by the start of the first team's tour, one of them may have already departed the club on loan. Arnau Tenas, the goalkeeper, has a contract expiring on June 30.
Although Barça holds the option to extend his contract for two more seasons, no decision has been announced regarding the execution of this clause.
Another promising player, 18-year-old Senegalese center-back Mikail Faye, has recently been acquired by Barça for their reserve team. The Catalan club secured his services from Croatian side NK Kustosija for a fee of €1.5 million. Faye is expected to train under the guidance of Xavi during a significant portion of the pre-season, showcasing his talents and aiming to impress the coaching staff.
