Alphonso Davies is eager to resume playing as a winger, and Manchester City and Real Madrid are renowned admirers. The Canadian international has two years left on his deal.

Alphonso Davies, a star for Bayern Munich, has said he feels'stuck' in his current left-back position and would like to move forward again.

In January 2019, Davies joined Bayern Munich after making his MLS debut as a winger for Vancouver Whitecaps. Despite initially playing in that attacking position in Germany, Davies was soon switched to left-back and has stayed there ever since.

Davies, who is currently regarded as one of the top left-backs in the game, has acknowledged that he still longs to revert to his former position as a winger.

Davies admitted on the Say Less podcast, "I was hired to replace Arjen Robben." "And I was then utilized as a full-back when David Alaba got hurt. I'm still there three or four years later.

Moreover, Davies acknowledged that he was "waiting for the opportunity to play further forward."

The uncertainty in the Allianz Arena boardroom may cause Davies' agent to put off talks about an extension until next season as he enters the final two years of his Bayern Munich contract this summer.

Because of the uncertainty surrounding his future, Davies has drawn significant attention from both Manchester City and Real Madrid, and the representative for the Canada international recently acknowledged that he has already spoken with a number of clubs.

For both City and Real, who are rumored to be seeking for new left-backs soon, Davies' statement that he would prefer to return to a forward position could complicate matters.

Davies, who played as a winger for the Whitecaps during his final MLS season, scored eight goals and provided ten assists, but he has been forced to settle for a more supporting position in Munich.
