According to reports, the Brazilian Football Association is convinced Carlo Ancelotti will succeed them as their next permanent manager and is willing to wait until next year for the Italian to leave Real Madrid.

In the latter months of the La Liga season, Ancelotti was frequently mentioned in connection with the position of Brazil's national coach. In April, the 64-year-old Italian acknowledged that the prospect had him fired up and said he would 'love to meet' the head of the Brazilian FA. However, Ancelotti declared earlier this month that he will "100% stay at Real Madrid" for the upcoming campaign. According to the Brazilian publication Globo, the Brazilian FA believes they have a deal with Ancelotti that would see him take over the next year.

According to rumours, the four-time Champions League champion coach could take over as manager of Brazil either in January or at the conclusion of his term in July. According to journalist Luis Roberto of Globo, Ednaldo Rodrigues, the head of the Brazilian FA, could announce a deal with Ancelotti later this month. If Ancelotti were to take over in July of next year, Brazil would begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign without a permanent manager because a mid-season move from Real Madrid seems unlikely. The record-breaking five-time World Cup champions would have to use an interim coach for the first six qualifying games, or one-third of the season.

Brazil will also be getting ready for the Copa America, which will be held in the United States next summer. In the past, Rodrigues acknowledged that Ancelotti was the choice of the team's players and supporters, and he expressed his own appreciation for the Italian. At the Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti collaborated closely with Brazilian players Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. Since Tite left Brazil following the World Cup in Qatar last year, the nation has been looking for a new head coach. Ramon Menezes has been appointed as interim manager, and on Saturday, he oversaw a 4-1 victory over Guinea in a friendly match.
