A football fan has left fans in disbelief with one of the most impressive shots of all time.

On Saturday night, the San Jose Earthquakes play the Portland Timbers in the MLS.

As the match ended in a sad 0-0 draw, one fan went viral after showing off his impressive soccer skills.

During halftime, a fan is challenged to throw the ball from the 18-yard line into the center of the field.

The fan timed his kick perfectly as the ball rolled perfectly over the center position, which you can see in the footage below. Fans were quick to react to the video on social media.

One person said:

"Wow, it's breathtaking, perfect weight, just like the original Andrea Pirlo."

Another person tweeted:

"I didn't think I could throw the ball with my hands that well."

A third fan added:

"Tell me this guy made a million dollars for this."

Another person wrote:

"It's very impressive."

While a fifth commented:

"Which match in the first half/between sets or quarter-finals are you most proud to have won?" I will never stop bragging if I achieve something like this.

Another fan said:

"HOW THE CLOUD DOESN'T GO BANNON BECAUSE OF THIS."

MLS is set to welcome seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi to the tournament after it was confirmed earlier this month that the Paris Saint Germain star had joined Inter Miami.

In the announcement, Messi said:

“I will not return to Barcelona, ??I will join Inter Miami.

“After winning the World Cup and not being able to go to Barça, it was time to come to America to experience football in a different way and enjoy it more every day. Obviously the same responsibility and desire to win and always do things well. But calmer.

Chris Smalling signed a new contract with Roma last week, with an option to extend until 2025.

They once said 'the only way after leaving Manchester United is to fall'. While Chris Smalling has yet to fully prove otherwise since his departure, he certainly seems happier with his new life in Rome.

Sky Sports reports that Manchester United have approved the departure of Chris Smalling in 2020, bringing the fee to a total of £18 million.

It came after a successful loan spell at Roma a year earlier, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made it clear that Smalling was not in his plans after signing Harry Maguire.

Chris Smalling's Success in Rome

It is debatable whether Maguire is worth the £80m spend and whether United should keep Smalling as a replacement.

But it was a decision made by Solskjaer, and the prospect of being on the bench did not appeal to Smalling, the former Manchester United winner.

He needed a new challenge and he seized his new opportunity in Rome. He won the Europa League Conference in 2022 and was runner-up in last season's Europa League final.

Smalling played 47 games last season for Roma and made a total of 143 appearances for the club. He has now been rewarded with a contract extension that runs until 2025.

“The journey continues!” Smalling wrote on Instagram after signing a new contract.

He told the club's website that he feels he has taken his game to the next level:

“Choosing to stay in Rome was an easy decision.

"I'm playing the best football of my career here with my family and I've felt very welcome in this great city from day one. Other than that, this club clearly has great strides in all fields.

Smalling has been helped by the appointment of former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, who believes in him and trusts him to start regularly. At 33 years old, Smalling seems unlikely to have a chance to feature in 31 caps for England. He has been despised by Gareth Southgate since his move to Serie A.

But apparently Smalling is pleased with his move, he has had his ups and downs at Manchester United with a total of 323 games played.

While Phil Jones stayed and reviewed his contract, Smalling reaped the rewards of pushing for a move he could play in, and it seems he's never looked back.
