Thomas Tuchel is a 'key factor' in Bayern Munich's pursuit of Kyle Walker this summer, according to reports.
The Manchester City right-back is likely to leave after being left out of the starting line-up in the Champions League final. Walker's role, once guaranteed, has become uncertain and he is among a number of Etihad players weighing up their futures.
Tuchel has his first chance to strengthen his Bayern squad this summer and wastes no time identifying targets. The former Chelsea boss is looking to add a right-back and Walker's pace has proven invaluable to City's defence over the years. Sky Germany understands that specific negotiations are underway between the player and the Bundesliga champions, although no agreement has been reached yet. However, there is optimism that an agreement can be reached to allow Walker to move to the Allianz Arena in the next few weeks.
English players have thrived in the German top flight, most recently Jude Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund and before that Jadon Sancho. Pep Guardiola cast doubt on Walker's future admitting he was unable to make some tactical adjustments, but praised other assets:
"He has other characteristics. He will always have rhythm. He'll be the fastest in this room at 60."
Bayern nearly won the crown on the final day of the season, scoring late in Cologne to overtake Dortmund in the title race. Tuchel is now looking to put his stamp on the team with a number of excellent players likely to leave - including Sadio Mane.

Meanwhile, Man City is having a hard time keeping some big names despite winning the treble. Aymeric Laporte is another backline member who could walk away with expensive Spaniards minutes. Captain Ilkay Gundogan is yet to sign a new contract at Manchester.
Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move for several summers and could finally get his wish with Barcelona and PSG among those interested. Riyad Mahrez, another player on the bench for the final in Istanbul, is also weighing his options.
