Brendan Rodgers will take over as manager of Celtic again on a three-year deal, the club has announced.
Four years and four months after Ange Postecoglou abruptly left for Leicester after winning seven of seven domestic trophies with the Hoops, Rodgers takes over as manager.
"I am really delighted to return to Celtic and I am hugely excited by this great opportunity," Rodgers stated on the team's website. It was a pretty easy choice for me and my family when I was given the opportunity to be asked to rejoin the club.This will be my objective once more: to provide excellent football, make sure we have a team everyone enjoys watching, and ultimately bring about more success. We have had some wonderful times at Celtic in the past.
Ange has done some fantastic work over the past two years, and I will do everything in my power to keep Celtic moving forward as we take on all of our domestic and European challenges.
"The players and staff at the club are tremendously impressive and talented, and I am really looking forward to meeting them all and then getting right to work."
In spite of rumors that Tottenham was interested in John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan, Celtic affirmed that the coaching staff under Rodgers will remain the same.
Kennedy, a former defender for Scotland and Celtic, had previously been an attempt by Rodgers to bring Kennedy to Leicester.

He will be crucial to me and our players.The club is in excellent shape on all fronts, and I want to thank the board for having faith in me to move the squad forward. As we seek to bring that success to our supporters, we will collaborate closely.
Rodgers is rumored to have been convinced to move back to Glasgow by principal shareholder Dermot Desmond.
"Our goal at Celtic will always be to bring people of the highest calibre to the club to achieve our ohjec," Desmond added.
