Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has only scored one Premier League goal for Chelsea since moving to Stamford Bridge from Barcelona last summer and he will become one of many big-name departures over the summer.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's doom at Chelsea will come to an end this summer.
The 34-year-old was signed for Ł12.1m a year ago by Thomas Tuchel, who has worked closely with Aubameyang from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. However, he appeared only once under Tuchel before being sacked and Aubameyang made just 20 more appearances in all competitions for the Blues under Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard.
He also scored just one Premier League goal and was left out of Chelsea's Champions League squad in February, despite appearing in every group stage game. As a result, Aubameyang will be one of the big names to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea look to revamp their squad. The former Arsenal striker has been the subject of particular interest from the wealthy Saudi Pro League, having previously tempted Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema with hugely lucrative contract offers. However, the Daily Mail insists he is not interested in the move, with reports saying Chelsea have received a Ł6million offer for Aubameyang which they are keen to accept.
However, the player is "pushing to leave Chelsea on his own terms", as he initially hoped that Barcelona would try to re-sign him. That did not materialize and Aubameyang is said to be attracting interest from Major League Soccer, which has been linked with a move to LAFC in February.
He remains hopeful that Chelsea will let him go for free, despite still having a year left on his contract. New manager Mauricio Pochettino has a major rebuilding job on his hands, after taking over a club that spent almost Ł600m on transfers under new owners and finished 12th in the league last season.

Athletic directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley added:
"Mauricio's experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and personality will greatly benefit Chelsea Football Club as we progress. He is a winning coach who has worked his way up the game. at the highest level, across multiple leagues and languages.
