Joe Cole makes England selection case Marcus Rashford ahead of Grealish

Speaking on Channel 4, Joe Cole said:

“Marcus Rashford was excellent, he missed the match against Malta but he always scored the goal.

"He's very direct, he's very smart, he's maneuvered in different positions, they pass the ball to him, he gives them a rough moment.

"Consider it a franchise, there's no room left, I'll still take it from you. He got inside, well balanced, put it in the blender. It all happened in the first 20 minutes. "When you're up against a player with such speed, agility, you can't stop him. Rashford is always the one who makes the difference."

As for who will start between Rashford and Jack Grealish, Joe Cole added:

"I think it's difficult, Rashford has had injury problems but he's fit now. If England start the Euros tomorrow, of course they'll start but things can change. ."

Rashford scored as England beat North Macedonia 7-0.
