Winner of the VGMA Best Rap Performance, Amerado, has expressed how it felt after he was announced the winner of the category.
In an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, he shared that he had always wanted to win that award and couldnt believe it when his name was mentioned on the night.
I have always wanted this plaque. I was in a state of shock. It was like I was dreaming. So when I was announced the winner of the Best Rap Performance category, all I said to myself is Thank you God Finally! Third time lucky.
The Abotr? hitmaker also recalled that his mom was the first to call him after he won the award.
Amerado also highlighted that he wasnt hopeful of a win at the just-ended VGMAs because that was his third nomination in that same category without a win, although in years past he has always been expecting to win.
