The late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III, had a book of condolences opened in Accra yesterday, and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo signed it.

"A faithful, hardworking, long-serving member of the Ga State," he wrote with his green pen. She served as a role model for conventional decency and grace. I have a terrific pal. Like many

Others will miss her and pray for her to find peace in the Almighty's arms until they see her again on the final day of the resurrection. We'll all cross paths again.

He promised the chiefs and elders in a brief statement that he and the government would assist in providing the late Ga Manye, who ruled for 59 years, with a proper burial because she supported and assisted Ghana in general and Ga State.

A delegation from Ga State visited the President at the Jubilee House in Accra in February of this year to tell him of the queen's departure. The trip was led by Nii Adjiri Blankson, a member of the Council of State.

The delegation, which was made up of chiefs, traditional elders, and the children of the deceased, gave the President a complete red robe and a variety of refreshments in accordance with tradition.

Due to personal family sorrow, President Akufo-Addo promised he would attend the burial.

In private, 88-year-old Naa Omaedru went by the name Naa Dedei Ablah.

At the age of 29, she was appointed a Ga Manye in 1963. On December 26, 2022, she died in the company of her loved ones at her home in Dansoman.
