HARRY MAGUIRE'S INACTIVITY WITH MAN UTD WORRIES GARETH SOUTHGATE

Gareth Southgate has acknowledged that he is worried about Harry Maguire's lack of playing time at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.

Despite being the captain of the Red Devils, Maguire was only able to make eight Premier League starts during the 2022–23 season. He also made another eight substitute appearances.

Due to his lack of playing time, it has been suggested that the defender may leave Old Trafford this summer. According to 90min, Juventus and Inter in Serie A are both interested in the defender, who has also been shortlisted by Tottenham as a potential transfer target.

Maguire's future and the paucity of club football he has played in recent months were discussed in the press, and Southgate acknowledged that it was a problem for the English national team.

Harry is the captain of a fantastic football team, therefore it is a challenging scenario. He will undoubtedly be disappointed that he cannot play as often as he would like, but I believe he has handled the situation quite well. He has made positive comments in public about backing the team, the England manager stated.

"It's extremely obvious. Harry and Kalvin, in my opinion, have played the fewest games out of all the players on this team this season, but we have decided to stick with them since we believe they are still superior in these two spots.

The Singapore National Stadium will host all three games for the mid-summer mini-jamboree. The 55,000-seat facility is located in Kallang, five minutes' drive from Marina Bay's renowned Formula 1 night race track.

The stadium has previously played host to some of the best in Europe, including Juventus, who opened the venue in 2014 by playing a select Singapore XI. Just last summer, a friendly match between Premier League teams Liverpool and Crystal Palace drew more than 50,000 people. The Reds won the match 2-0.

There is little question that the next pre-season competition between representatives from the Premier League will be a huge success, despite the fact that the grandiose lead-in reveals a lot about the negative opinion the Australian events firm has of the country's top division.
