In a shocking incident in Ghana's capital city of Accra, a gang of four robbers attacked a bullion van at a fuel station and managed to escape with the stolen money.

The robbers specifically targeted the police officers who were inside the van and shot them twice, injuring them in the shoulder and abdomen. The exchange of gunshots between the robbers and the on-duty police officers lasted for approximately 15 rounds.

The incident occurred at the Star Oil Fuel Station near the ECG office in Ablekuma Fanmilk. The injured officer was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, the bullion van driver's whereabouts remain unknown.

Witnesses reported that the robbers arrived in a black vehicle and launched the attack shortly after the van parked at the fuel station. The robbery is particularly puzzling since all the cameras at the fuel station were offline for maintenance at the time of the incident.

This allowed the robbers to escape with the stolen money, adding to the pandemonium that ensued at the scene. However, police reinforcements arrived shortly after the attack, and a manhunt for the robbers is underway.

Kesben TV reported that one of the police officers who exchanged gunfire with the robbers died in the attack. The police have issued a statement expressing their condolences to the family of the deceased officer and assuring the public that they will do everything in their power to bring the robbers to justice.

This incident is a stark reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officials and the need for increased security measures to protect them while they carry out their duties.
