An incident involving Harry Kane, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford during England's 7-0 win over Montenegro in 2019 is circulating again amid ongoing transfer rumors.

Manchester United are set to make Mason Mount their first summer transfer. The 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder has agreed personal terms with Erik ten Hag's side, according to Fabrizio Romano.

After turning down a £50m offer rejected by United for the England international, Chelsea are said to be looking for £60-65m for Mount.

Meanwhile, United want a "quick solution" but will not make a "crazy" offer. Advertisement

The Premier League club are also closely linked with the move of Spurs striker Harry Kane as they prepare to sign a world-class striker.

However, a report from The Sun suggests United have called on Kane to leave Tottenham as they are frustrated with the lack of progress.

As speculation about Mount and Kane's futures intensified, video of a match featuring the duo - and Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford - made fans talk.

As you can see in the images below, Rashford faced off against Montenegro's Marko Vesovic after being embroiled in a fiery confrontation with defender Qarabag.

Then Mount and Kane rushed to his defense. Twitter user and United fan @UtdEIIis posted the clip with the caption:

"Look at the two players who supported Rashford."

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the incident.

One person said:

"Even though it doesn't make any sense, this clip convinced me. Get these two guys to the Dream Theater ASAP," while another wrote:

"Mount is always there for his teammates."

The third added:

"I've never been to United but after seeing this gives them both!"

However, some were not convinced. One person said:

“Tactically, they are clearly the two closest to his position with Chilwell. So obviously they will get there first. Relax."

One second wrote:

"Kane is the captain, if you don't support it, it's a shame."

A third person commented:

"The two closest players on the pitch came to speak to the referee first, a complete shock."

Earlier this week, United left-back Luke Shaw said he would "prefer" England team-mates Harry Kane and Declan Rice to join the ranks at Old Trafford.

"I want a few of them in - I'm not going to lie," he said. "I talk to them, I tell them how good Manchester is, because I know their qualities. Advertisement

“I know they are world-class players and will be of great help to us, but I cannot say more. It's up to the club and whatever they decide, so we have to start from there.

"Normally it's not discussed, but because of the moment of the season and what's going on, there's been a lot of talk, a lot of jokes."
