Erik ten Hag remains attached to Benfica's Goncalo Ramos, with Manchester United determined to get a No 9 this summer.
The 21-year-old has had a prolific season as he has scored for both club and country.
He made his World Cup debut last year replacing former Red Devils player Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting line-up against Switzerland and scored a hat-trick in Portugal's overwhelming 6-1 win.
In the 2022/2023 season, Ramos has scored 27 goals and has 12 assists in all competitions for Benfica - impressive numbers for a young striker.
According to the Daily Mail, Ten Hag is an 'admirer' of Ramos. Their report adds:
"It is widely believed that Benfica will accept no less than £85 million that Liverpool paid for Darwin Nunez last summer, but Ramos could cost less."
Meanwhile, MU's top scorer is Marcus Rashford with a total of 30 goals. Bruno Fernandes is second in the standings with 14 goals, and central striker Anthony Martial is third with just nine goals all season.
MU continues to look for strikers
It's no secret that a striker is needed this summer, therefore all the links are very early in the transfer window. Harry Kane is certainly the perfect match, but unless Tottenham Hotspur lower their high valuations, he won't be moving to Old Trafford for the next few weeks. Therefore, Ten Hag must consider alternatives.
