THE WORD, YOUR VICTORY!!!
DAILY DEVOTION TO GROWTH
23.06.2023
1 TIMOTHY 6:12 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Too many people mistakenly believe that if something is in God's plan for them, it will manifest itself without their input or effort.
Not so!
God and we have to work together. We have to take Him at His word. Fear and skepticism must be overcome. We must fight the good fight of faith if we want to experience the totality of blessings that God wants for us. Israel served as our example.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:11 11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world come.
To take possession of what God declared was already theirs, they had to battle the giants in the land. They already owned the promised land since God had granted it to them. However, there were still people living there, including giants, and they had to be pushed away before they could enjoy what was rightfully theirs.
Since the Bible refers to the "good fight of faith," you are aware that having faith can frequently be difficult.
The Bible commands us to uphold our profession of faith for a purpose (Hebrews 4:14, 10:23). Because of the events we would experience in our life, God knew we would be tempted to have doubts. God anticipated that faith would be difficult.
Therefore, it is not surprising that we experience fiery difficulties. The adversary is attempting to undermine our faith by leading us to question God's commitment to His Word.
1 PETER 4:12 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.
We might have to defend ourselves using reason. It can claim that it is impossible for things to work out, that God's Word won't be effective for us, or that we shouldn't hope for favorable outcomes.
But God's goal is for victory in and through Jesus. There is a chance. We must keep the faith. We have to wage that battle.
SAY THIS: Despite the challenges life presents, I will remain steadfast in my belief in God's Word. I'll go to any lengths to keep my trust in God.
God Bless You and Increase You
