KIM KARDASHIAN CONSIDERING CUSTODY CHANGE AFTER KANYE WEST'S SONG RELEASE FEATURING NORTH WEST

Kim Kardashian is reportedly reevaluating her custody arrangement with ex-husband Kanye West after he released a song featuring their eldest child, North West, without her consent.

According to TMZ, the reality star is contemplating taking legal action to request a judge to remove Kanye’s joint legal custody, following his recent disregard for their agreement. The former couple, who divorced in 2022 after tying the knot in 2014, currently shares joint physical and legal custody of their four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. While physical custody remains unchallenged as Kanye rarely sees his children, Kardashian is more concerned about decision-making matters, especially after this latest incident.

Their divorce settlement reportedly mandates both parties to resolve parenting conflicts through private hearings with a judge. However, the situation escalated when Kanye allegedly disregarded their agreement by releasing a track titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” featuring North and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. Reports suggest that despite initially agreeing not to release the song after missing an emergency meeting with Kardashian, their lawyers, and a mediator, Kanye released the track on X a day later, defiantly stating that men “make the final decision.” This move prompted Kardashian to consider seeking legal protection over the matter.

The tension between the former spouses further intensified when Kanye shared screenshots of heated text messages between them, revealing their conflicting stances. Kardashian reportedly reminded Kanye that they had previously agreed to trademark all their children’s names to protect them from exploitation, a decision supposedly made mutually when their children were born. However, Kanye seemed enraged by the cease-and-desist letter Kardashian sent to prevent North’s involvement in the song with Diddy. His aggressive response, threatening to go “to war” if she didn’t amend the legal papers, and his claim that neither of them would recover from the potential public fallout, showcased the deepening conflict.

Following the song’s release, Kanye took to X to express his frustration, accusing the “Kardashian mob” of limiting his parental rights and equating their custody arrangement to a form of “jail visitation.” Despite Kanye’s complaints, insiders told Page Six that Kardashian’s primary focus is the well-being and safety of her children. She reportedly aims to protect them from Kanye’s controversial actions and ensure their upbringing remains stable and secure, even if it means revisiting their custody agreement in court.
