Darwin Nunez offers a heartfelt message to Luis Suarez amid retirement rumors
Luis Suarez, a Liverpool star, is reportedly on the verge of retirement at Brazilian club Gremio, with the 36-year-old currently hindered by a long-term knee injury.
Darwin Nunez has praised fellow Uruguayan Luis Suarez as speculation about his retirement grows.
Suarez, 36, joined Gremio in January, scoring a hat trick on debut to help the club win the state league title. However, the attacker has also been plagued by a long-term knee problem, prompting rumours that his colorful career is coming to an end.

At the end of the video, the hosts showed him an old clip of Suarez, who scored 82 goals in 133 appearances with the Reds, curling a football into a basketball net from a distance.
Nunez also claimed to having seen the film before, adding, "I have seen the Luis Suarez video before." Luis, my friend, is an idol to me." He pounded his heart three times after speaking, indicating his World Cup buddy.
Suarez has already expressed his support for Nunez, who has struggled in the Premier League despite scoring on the opening day against Fulham. It took him until October to score his first goal at Anfield, in a 1-0 victory over West Ham.
And his 'hero' promptly tweeted him to celebrate the goal, writing, "The first of many, scorer!" Keep it up, and enjoy the incredible stadium and atmosphere! #YNWA."
