Ruben Neves' transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for a club-record £47 million has been confirmed by Wolves.
During his six seasons at Molineux, the Portuguese midfielder made 253 appearances and registered 30 goals.
In an emotional video uploaded to the Premier League team's Twitter account, Neves wiped away his emotions and said he had "made thousands of memories that will last forever."
"Ruben is the embodiment of everything you look for when trying to bring players into a football club: a leader, a humble man, and an extremely talented footballer who took Wolves to a different level," Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs said on the club's website.
He played during a fantastic time for this team and will go down as one of our all-time best players.
We are appreciative of everything he has done for Wolves and send our best wishes to him and his family for the future.
Following his transfer from Porto, Neves was a member of the Wolves club that won the Sky Bet Championship in 2018. His contract had one year left on it.
The 26-year-old went on to assist Wanderers in two consecutive seventh-place finishes in the top division, as well as an FA Cup semifinal appearance in 2019 and a quarterfinal appearance in the 2020 Europa League.
He is the most prominent player to relocate to Saudi Arabia recently.
While Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al Nassr in December, Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante have already completed free transfers to Al Ittihad this month.
Neves sobbed and battled his emotions in a video that Wolves shared on social media just before announcing the transaction.
"Wolves, six seasons, 253 games, Champions of the Championship, five years of Premier League football, an FA Cup semi-final, our European adventure, and some huge wins," he proclaimed.
