Callum Hudson-Odoi will have tough talks with Chelsea next week to discuss his future, but the club has opted to sell him following interest from five Premier League rivals.

Hudson-Odoi, once considered one of the brightest talents in English football, suffered a spectacular accident and is now on the verge of leaving his youth club.

He joined the Chelsea academy at the age of seven and made 126 first-team appearances after making his debut in 2018.

For a time, Hudson-Odoi was considered a key member of the Chelsea squad and attracted considerable interest from Bayern Munich, whose offers the Blues had rejected on several occasions. Chelsea then handed the three-cap England striker a lucrative five-year contract, although they are now prepared to sell him for just £10 million, according to the Daily Express.

While on loan at Bayer Leverkusen last season, Hudson-Odoi hoped to revive his career but he was unable to do so and scored just one goal in 21 appearances for the German side.

Despite his struggles, Hudson-Odoi has few admirers both in the Premier League and abroad and is one of several Chelsea players linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. N'Golo Kante has joined up with the senior Saudi squad, while Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly are expected to join up with the French world champions.

As of this writing, a move to Saudi Arabia seems unlikely for Hudson-Odoi, who has caught the attention of Premier League clubs Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Crystal Palace, West Ham, and Brentford.

While Hudson-Odoi is hoping to become a key player for Chelsea, he is trailing the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mihailo Mudric, Noni Madueke, and future signings Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.

Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League last term but are hoping for an even better season under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. Although Chelsea is yet to sign any midfielder in this summer transfer I'm sure it will be difficult for them to keep him because they are overhauling right now.
