Brendan Rodgers is certain that Celtic will have a better manager this time than the one who led them to victory in every one of the seven domestic championships that were available to them during his previous tenure in Scotland.
Monday marked the Northern Irishman's return to Parkhead after a nearly four and a half year absence when he left to become manager of Leicester.
He oversaw the Foxes' 2021 FA Cup victory and consecutive fifth-place finishes in the Premier League until things fell apart in his last campaign, leading to his dismissal in April as they slid into relegation.
Despite the fact that Rodgers' approach to the game hasn't altered much since his time at Celtic, he indicated that he believes he is coming back a more skillful manager overall.
My teams usually play with an attacking attitude, he added, in terms of how we compete. "We constantly aim to prevail. That has not altered. That's what my teams do when they're at their finest.I am a better manager now than I was seven years ago (at the beginning of his first tenure), and most definitely better than I was four years ago.
"You learn from both positive and negative experiences, and that was the appeal of returning here. It's a fantastic club, and hopefully we can keep going.
Despite the fact that his home near Glasgow was broken into shortly after he left for Leicester, Rodgers is enthusiastic about returning to the Scottish football environment and living there once more.
He laughed when asked if he was looking forward to adjusting to the Cinch Premiership and competing for the championship once more. While I was here, Scotland significantly increased my happiness both on and off the field. Off the pitch, I had a lot of respect for the city and country as a whole, which is why, when we were thinking about returning, it wasn't only about the football side. "Of course, the euphoria at Celtic was tremendous and how successful we were.Even though the last moments were challenging off the field, it didn't alter our thoughts about Celtic.
