Declan Rice's transfer destination has been chosen, with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United all interested in the star.

THE BIG DEBATE: Rice's future has become one of the hottest topics of the transfer window as the West Ham skipper faces a difficult choice over his future

#DeclanDecides.

The argument about Declan Rice's future hasn't quite reached the level of social media obsession, but it continues to dominate a transfer window that could be set to take fire.

For a long time, Arsenal looked certain to sign the England midfielder this summer, with Rice seemingly set to depart West Ham after leading them to Europa League glory.

Manchester City, on the other hand, has arrived, with Manchester United and others lurking in the wings.

Rice must consider the examples of Kalvin Phillips and Jack Grealish during their first seasons at Manchester City, where they struggled for game time. Rodri is possibly the world's best holding midfielder, and would Pep Guardiola play both?

Manchester United and Newcastle United have money, but they are far from title challengers. Arsenal came close last season and are willing to pay in order to construct a squad capable of competing both at home and abroad. Rice would become a key figure at the Emirates Stadium, benefiting both himself and England.

Mr. Darren Lewis

Arsenal have already made a wise acquisition in Kai Havertz, and Rice would be an excellent addition to their midfield.

The problem for them is that once Manchester City arrive, they no longer have a choice. Champions League and Premier League champions in five of the last six seasons? Or is the team still aiming for those lofty heights?

Arsenal will undoubtedly strengthen. Mikel Arteta has them running ahead of schedule after they challenged for the championship last season. They were probably a better alternative than Manchester United or Chelsea. But City are a completely different proposition right now.

Cross, John

I believe people are seeing Declan Rice's decision in a very one-dimensional manner.

Should he join Premier League champions Manchester City or Arsenal? Going for the sure trophies is a tad lazy. Mind you, this is a good alternative!

But, if an employer, desperate to go to the top, comes in with a vision and a script about how you will fit in and become king of the castle, would you not be flattered?

Wouldn't it make you think, "wow, they really want me - and this could work!" if months and months of work had gone into selling that vision and dream?

Mr. Mark Jones

The fact that he scored the game-winning goal in the Champions League final was a bit of a letdown for those of us who thought we were being clever by saying that Rodri is grossly undervalued and certainly the most important player on Man City's side. That is now obvious to everyone.

The Spanish international runs Pep Guardiola's midfield, and while Rice would thrive if he joined him there, he would have to adapt considerably. The all-action method would be reduced because Rodri's activities would already have the game locked down.

It would be different at Arsenal.

Rice would be seen rushing with the ball more frequently, helping to assaults from that left-sided position.
