The Anfield supporters may breathe a sigh of relief because, despite recent speculation linking Mohamed Salah with a move elsewhere, the Egyptian international appears to be staying put.
Mohamed Salah is not leaving Anfield anytime soon, despite reports linking the Liverpool legend to a move to Saudi Arabia.
The Reds forward has made it known to those in charge at Anfield that he wants to stay, and that feeling is shared by the club's top brass. There had been speculation that Liverpool's absence of Champions League action next season may turn Salah off, but that has already been refuted.
Last season, Jurgen Klopp's players fell far short of expectations, finishing 22 points behind winners Manchester City and only qualifying for the Europa League. Salah was a rare bright spot, with the Egypt international scoring 30 goals and providing 16 assists in 51 games across all competitions.
Liverpool's disappointing performance last time out prompted widespread calls for Klopp to oversee a rebuild, and some speculated that this would entail parting ways with Salah in favor of a younger replacement.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, his offensive teammates, have both since left, with the former joining Bayern Munich this time last year. Salah, on the other hand, is sticking put and is willing to turn off the riches of Saudi Arabia and Real Madrid in order to do so.
While Salah is clearly frustrated with how last season went for Liverpool, he is confident that he, along with Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez, will help turn things around.
Having said that, he is under no illusions that the Liverpool group in their current state can mount a title challenge, with even Champions League qualification potentially being a step too far.
The Reds are need for reinforcements and have so far only signed ex-Brighton ace Alexis Mac Allister.
The Argentina international is a World Cup champion who will undoubtedly help raise the technical ceiling at Anfield, but he will not be enough to restore Liverpool to the greatness that Salah and the Anfield crowd desire.
