Adrien Rabiot expressed his feelings for Liverpool while Manchester United pursued a deal.

Manchester United have revived their interest in signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, although the Frenchman has already angered Red Devils fans with his admission to Liverpool.

Adrien Rabiot, who admitted to being a Liverpool fan, may have to win over Manchester United fans if he moves to Old Trafford.

After failing to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea, the Red Devils have resumed their interest in the French midfielder. They have made three bids for England's star, all of which have been rejected by the Blues.

Rabiot has been highlighted as a less expensive option, as his contract with Juventus is set to expire later this month. After being linked with a move for the former PSG player 12 months ago, the Red Devils have initiated a new round of discussions with him.

Rabiot has immediately incurred the anger of supporters of his probable new employers by declaring that he is a die-hard Liverpool fan. "I liked Liverpool so much because I was a fan of Steven Gerrard, who made me dream, and so I followed the Reds," he stated earlier this season. Zidane was my other idol."

Rabiot has already shown his admiration for the Merseysiders. He also claimed to be a fan while still with PSG in 2017.

"There are a lot of very good leagues," Rabiot explained to RMC. "It's also enlightening to travel elsewhere, but for the time being, I'm content at PSG."

"I want to play in the Premier League." There isn't necessarily one club in particular, even though I was a big Liverpool supporter when I was little."

While Rabiot may be wearing a red shirt and playing at Old Trafford next season, the same could be said a year ago. A deal fell through when United and the Frenchman's agent couldn't agree on personal terms.

To make matters worse, Rabiot has stated that he was "fortunate" that a move did not go through. In November, the midfielder stated, "It's true, there were Premier League contacts."

"However, it was perhaps fortunate that I stayed, perhaps the best decision." The Premier League is still the most watched league, but I'm not concerned about the future. I'm keeping my attention on the World Cup.

"Neither the club nor I are in a hurry. There is peace, and we will have time to consider all options."

Rabiot might be on his way to Old Trafford after having his best season as a Juventus player. Despite the fact that the Italian giants finished seventh in Serie A following a ten-point deduction, the 28-year-old scored 11 goals and assisted six times last season.
