Sarkodie, a Grammy-winning artist, has refuted allegations that he coerced actress Yvonne Nelson into getting an abortion in 2010.

The Country Side hitmaker revealed that even though he wasn't ready at the time, he wanted her to retain the baby but Yvonne declined on the grounds that she was in school. The Country Side hitmaker explained his side of the tale in a new song, Try Me, which has already gone viral since it was published Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Sarkodie discussed how he was truly in love with Yvonne Nelson but that it turns out he was probably only one of the many males in her life at the time in the 3:16-minute song, showing his intense emotions throughout.

He said he didn't want to reveal that aspect of his life till he passed away but that he has been obliged to do so since Yvonne Nelson spread a falsehood that benefits her.

"I won't deny that we had a thing. Before I got the signal that there were numerous guys, I initially believed we had a think. I made an effort to avoid you, but you arrived and announced your pregnancy. I told you to keep it even though I wasn't ready at the time.
"You said that you were in school and that you needed to finish it, but I still don't trust you. I advised you to let my doctor take care of you, and you texted me later to say that one of the top doctors had been recommended by a friend.

So don't give the impression that I was the one who encouraged you to have an abortion. On Ty Me, he raps, "Baby girl make you no try me."

However, based on her tweets from this morning, June 28, it appears like the Princess Tyra actress is not having any of this.
Michael, insults won't work. honoring women. I'm glad the public can see the real you as well as how you're portraying yourself in this. This teaches young ladies valuable lessons. For a rap, you would receive applause. still doesn't alter the fact," she wrote in her essay.

Award-winning actress Yvonne Nelson stated in a book that, following a brief romance with Sarkodie, she had an abortion in 2010.
She claims that she made the choice after Sarkodie decided not to take custody of the child because he was still a young man and not in a stable financial situation.
