The unusual spectacle, which comprises of five exciting challenges, might see anyone participate, including individuals not even named on both teams' rosters for the All-Stars game.
Arsenal will take on the crème of Major League Soccer in the All-Star exhibition match, with the Gunners also taking part in a number of unusual challenges.
Both teams will face off at Audi Field in the US capital, with former Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney ready to lead an ensemble cast of MLS' top players. Aside from the game, both teams will compete in the All-Star Skills Challenge, which will involve ten players from each squad.
Those involved will essentially be tasked with performing five actions, each of which will allow the team to contribute points to the total scoreboard in order to win the event. Intriguingly, anyone can be named to participate in the challenge on behalf of either side, and individuals who participate do not have to be on either roster.
The first challenge of the show, the Shooting Challenge, will see three players from each team attempt to strike 11 targets dispersed throughout the goal in three thirty-second rounds in order to earn points. With twenty seconds remaining, competitors are asked to attempt to hit a moving 20-point target.
Following that, the aspirants will be asked to select six players who will then compete in a Touch Challenge, in which they will be assessed on their ability to control and volley crosses into a skeeball-style device with point values ranging from two to twenty. They will have 15 total attempts, with conversions from orange balls launched from a launcher counting double the points.
The exciting Cross and Volley Challenge follows, which is a basic workout in which competitors are requested to connect with crosses, with the most spectacular goals rewarded with points. Each team will have four participants for this endeavor, with two 60-second rounds on the clock to put each person's technique to the test.
Following this mission, the Passing Challenge will put players' wits against their opponents from the opposing squad, with one player from each side participating each time. The goal of this one is to race against their opponent to knock out four targets in total, with the final target being the goal - hitting this wins you the challenge.
Finally, there will be the Crossbar Challenge, a unique variation on the classic game in which seven players from each team will attempt to strike the upright with a shot from the 18-yard line. If a team earns five points overall, they go to Zone Two, where they must strike the goalframe from a greater distance before attempting the Victory Shot.
