Mikel Arteta is showing he means business in the transfer window after throwing away the league last season.

Arsenal have already wrapped up a £65 million deal for Chelsea's forward Kai Havertz.
And they are now about to spend £150m on West Ham captain Declan Rice.
But the Gunners are now on the verge of a third signing, with the club agreeing a £40 million fee with Ajax for versatile defender Timber.

De Telegraaf  claims a deal is near completion after Arsenal verbally agreed to cough up an initial £36m.

Add-ons will take the deal to £40m.
And that will see Arsenal’s spending hit £210m – £44m more than their combined spend of £166m in the last two windows.
The Gunners have made just one sale so far, with Pablo Mari joining Italian side Monza for £4m.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has left on a free transfer after his contract expired.
And there could now be several high-profile exits to balance the books.

Midfielder Granit Xhaka is expected to join Bayer Leverkusen.
Partner, Thomas Partey also has offers from Saudi Arabia
And Jorginho has been linked with a return to Italy.
Left-back Kieran Tierney is also thought to be in Newcastle's sight.
While the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Folarin Balogun, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Rob Holding could depart in search of minutes elsewhere.
