On Twitter, Jose Enrique stated that Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount should have joined Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool rather than Erik ten Hag's Manchester United.Mason Mount, a Chelsea and England international midfielder, would have fit in better at Liverpool, according to the commentator.


Manchester United are on the verge of signing Mount from Premier League rivals Chelsea during the summer transfer season, according to The Times.


The Red Devils will pay the Blues an initial £55 million transfer fee for the 24-year-old.According to the article, Mount will "now undergo a medical and finalize personal terms on a five-year contract."


The Times reported earlier this week that Liverpool considered signing Mount but ultimately did not make an offer for the England international midfielder.


Enrique, a former Liverpool player, believes Mount would have performed better at Anfield than at Old Trafford.Even though he is only 24, the England international can lead the team forward and work hard.
