Mason Greenwood made £1 million in the year of his arrest, as Manchester United continues its probe.

No decision has been made on the 21-year-old's future at Old Trafford as the investigation continues more than four months after criminal charges were withdrawn.

Mason Greenwood's image rights company surpassed the £1 million mark in the same year that he was suspended by Manchester United and lost endorsement deals following his arrest for suspected sex offenses and violence, which prosecutors later dismissed.

Accounts filed for TSM Sports Ltd, a 2019 firm created in 2019 by the footballer and his father, revealed current assets of £1,052,134 for the fiscal year April 2021 to September 2022.

The accounts indicated a more than £300,000 rise over the previous balance sheet. Creditors totaling £114,746 are reported, implying that the stockholders completed the fiscal term with £963,678.

Separate filings on Companies House demonstrate Greenwood is the sole director following the resignation of his father, Andrew, in June 2020.

Greenwood's contract with United was terminated in January 2022 after he was arrested on allegations of rape and assault on a woman. He was detained again on charges of sexual assault and threatening to kill.

However, the charges were dropped in February of this year, with the Crown Prosecution Service stating that "a combination of the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant that there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction."

Greenwood, who is under contract with United until the summer of 2025, has been placed on leave while an internal inquiry is conducted. He is said to be still getting his £75,000-per-week income.

Fans are still unable to purchase anything bearing his name, and he has been linked with a move abroad, perhaps a loan to Jose Mourinho's Roma.

Following his imprisonment, Greenwood lost a lucrative sponsorship deal with Nike and was pulled from the FIFA computer game series by developers EA Sports.

His last game for United was against West Ham in the Premier League on January 22 of last year, eight days before his detention, but he has since been photographed training alone.

United has not publicly spoken on his situation since the CPS judgment in February. "The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps," they said in a brief statement at the time. We will not say further until that process is completed."

There is no timetable offered, but sources expect a decision will be made before the start of the 2023/24 season. Greenwood is not anticipated to accompany United on its pre-season tour to America next week.
