Kai Havertz was mocked by fans after responding to a video of his farewell to Mason Mount.

Mount posted a heartfelt video saying goodbye to Chelsea fans before he was due to move to Manchester United for £60m.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who completed his medical at Carrington on Monday, will sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford worth £250,000 a week following a £55m move.

He will become Erik ten Hag's first signing this summer, but before either club confirmed the news, Mount took to social media to say goodbye to The fans. Blues, who have been at the club since he was 6 years old.

“Hello Chelsea fans. Given the rumors of the last six months, this may not surprise you, but it's not easier to tell you that I have made the decision to leave Chelsea."

“I want to tell you directly how grateful I am for all of your support over the past 18 years.

"I know some of you won't be happy with my decision, but it's the right thing for me at this point in my career," he added.

Fans and players were quick to express their gratitude to the England international, among them Kai Havertz, who recently completed a £62m move to Arsenal.

Havertz commented on the four crying face emojis that left fans confused, many of which brought tears to the 24-year-old's eyes. One fan replied:

"Why do you cry?" »

Another person wrote:

"So are you."

The third added:

"Lmaooo, he thinks he's still a Chelsea player."

The fourth person replied:

"I forgot he was one of them."

Fifth person says:

"He's cooking his own cup."

Meanwhile, other supporters felt the joke was about Chelsea, with one user saying:

"He's just mocking Chelsea at this point."

This is not the first time Havertz has ventured to anger Chelsea fans on social media after posting a tweet alongside Mateo Kovacic on Twitter, with the caption 'We're ready'.

Kovacic recently agreed to join defending Premier League champions Manchester City, with both players leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Havertz is tipped to become Arsenal's biggest earner at the club with a reported salary of £330,000 a week, and that figure is likely to grow as bonuses are factored in.

The German forward is expected to be closely watched by Declan Rice, who will join the Gunners after 'reaching an agreement' with West Ham over a deal for the midfielder.
