Italian side 'makes $24m offer for Christian Pulisic' as Italian giants launch second bid for USA star
According to reports, AC Milan has made a second bid, valued at around $24 million, for Chelsea and USA star Christian Pulisic. The winger, who joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund for $74 million, is among the 11 players who could potentially leave the club in the near future. Pulisic has expressed his desire to join Milan, and the Italian giants initially made an offer of $15.25 million plus bonuses for the 24-year-old. Now, it is reported that Milan has made a second bid in their pursuit of securing Pulisic's signature.
Lyon, a French club, has also presented an offer to Chelsea, totaling approximately $26.7 million, including bonuses and a sell-on clause. However, Pulisic has informed Chelsea that he has no intention of joining Lyon, disregarding their offer. With just one year remaining on his contract at Chelsea, Pulisic has set his sights on joining Milan, a club with whom Chelsea has previously collaborated on several transfers. Players such as Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all moved between the two clubs in recent seasons.
Despite making only eight Premier League starts for Chelsea last season, Pulisic remains an important player for the United States Men's National Team (USMNT), having scored 23 goals in 57 international appearances. While his playing time at Chelsea has been limited, the winger is still highly regarded and sought after by Milan.
The potential transfer of Pulisic has gained attention due to his desire to leave Chelsea and join Milan, as well as the offers from both Milan and Lyon. The negotiations between the clubs continue, and fans eagerly await the resolution as Pulisic contemplates his future. With new manager Mauricio Pochettino now at the helm of Chelsea, the winger's role within the team remains uncertain. However, his international performances demonstrate his talent and value to the USMNT. As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Pulisic will achieve his desired move to Milan or potentially explore other options.
