Mr. Beautiful boasts that he deals in coconuts and sugarcane in his business.
The well-known Ghanaian actor Clement Bonney, also known as Mr. Beautiful, claims that he has turned to selling coconuts and sugarcane in order to make it through what he perceives to be difficult times in Ghana. The actor, who has never concealed his support and affection for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, told Cape Coast-based Property FM that the collapse of the Ghanaian movie business has contributed to his current troubles. The actor has also never hidden his support and love for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Some of us who are actively engaged in such a venture have been put through excruciatingly difficult circumstances as a direct result of the downfall of the film industry.
As a result of the collapse of the film industry in Ghana, I am now engaged in the business of selling sugarcane and coconuts in order to make ends meet.
"The coconut that I sell is the one that is grown in my hometown in Central Region, which is Abura Dunkwa," he said. "The region is known for its high quality coconuts."
It is possible that Mr. Beautiful's acting career was ruined as a result of his public support for former President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2012 and 2016 elections; nevertheless, in an interview with Graphic Showbiz in 2020, he stated that this is not a sufficient reason for him to reject the party as a whole."I am always prepared to fight with my sweat and blood for Mahama. I have his back."
This is not about Mr. Beautiful or his affection for Mahama; rather, it is about the fact that it is now abundantly clear that Mahama and the NDC administration performed better for the arts than the NPP has over the course of the past four years."I won't just make empty claims but instead will support my argument with facts, and those who think otherwise are welcome to come and challenge me," she said.
