'Luis Diaz might return with a bang.'
Luis Diaz's knee injury in October was a significant setback for both player and team since he was perhaps Liverpool's greatest player in the early weeks of the season. After a six-month hiatus, he was unable to assist Jurgen Klopp's players as they dropped further away from the summit.By the time his April comeback arrived, following surgery in December, it was widely assumed that the explosive Colombian would not be at his best until next season. And, with the preseason schedule fast approaching, Diaz needs to get back to his best.
A long and uninterrupted summer period could see the new No.7 return to the kind of performances we saw routinely during the early months of his move from Porto at the end of January 2022. Diaz, when completely fit and firing, can provide a fresh dimension to an offensive department already brimming with quality. In reality, Diaz definitely needs a big summer to fully recover from his injury nightmare of 22/23, and you can bet he'll be ready to go. This season, his dribbling ability and tenacity must be followed up with more goal contributions.
