Man Burns Himself To Death After Wife Refused To Cook “ Chicken”

Police in Kenya are looking into a suicide that occurred after a man's wife allegedly refused to cook chicken at their Uriri, Migori County, home.
The 45-year-old barricaded himself in their home before burning himself on fire, according to Nyaobe Assistant Chief John Atonya.
"The man, identified as John Rugala locked himself inside the house before torching it. It is alleged that the wife refused to cook chicken for him," Atonya said.
According to early reports, the wife opposed the plan because their daughter owned the paralyzed bird.
"He protested after the wife urged him to get the green light from his daughter who owns the chicken," the administrator added.
The deceased is then alleged to have sent his wife away before taking his own life, according to Kenya's Citizen TV. In an attempt to put out the fire, members of the public flocked to the scene but failed.
According to Atonya, the deceased's body has been transferred to the mortuary at Migori Level Four Hospital pending police inquiries.

The deceased is then alleged to have divorced his wife before committing suicide. In an attempt to put out the fire, members of the public flocked to the scene but failed.
According to Atonya, the deceased's body has been transferred to the mortuary at Migori Level Four Hospital pending police inquiries.
