Three students at Kwadaso's nursing training college have been suspended for a year after a sex tape was leaked.
Some of the students of the Ashanti Region's Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College have faced disciplinary action from the administration.
This was in response to a recent online sex tape that involved students that was circulated.
Due to their involvement in the incident, three first-year students have been suspended for one year.
The choice was made after the kids admitted their wrongdoing in front of the school's disciplinary committee.
Williams Adinkra, the school's public relations officer, revealed this information on Tuesday, July 4 during an interview with Kumasi-based OTEC FM, Nyansapo.
Contrary to what initial reports suggested, Mr. Adinkra emphasized that the sexual interaction depicted in the video occurred off-campus.
"We met the three students immediately after the video surfaced online and they admitted the offence, the first two persons who were the ones who engaged in the sex bout and captured it in a video said they did it while on vacation," the PRO explained.
He further stated, "According to our investigation, the third person, who allegedly released the video, downloaded it from the girl's phone and later demanded Ghc5,000 from her.

After the girl refused to pay the necessary sum, the video was posted online and quickly became popular on social media.
All three of the involved kids have received a one-year suspension as a result. In addition, the offending student will be subject to additional punishment when they return to the college.
"While the three are all serving a one-year suspension, the one who released the video will be deboardinised upon their return."
In Kumasi, the Ashanti region's capital, a male student made an effort to extort money from two first-year Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College students.
After the woman in the video gave her phone to a coworker for repair, the sex film was released.
The blackmailer wanted GHs5,000 from the female student and threatened to release the video if she did not comply after copying the film from the phone.
The video was purposefully leaked around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2023 because the victim could not satisfy the blackmailer's money demand.
