Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park was closed for four days 

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park officials have announced the temporary closure of the park to the public.

The renovated park will be closed from Friday July 7, 2023 at midnight until Tuesday July 11, 2023. The coverage,according to the statement ofAg. The president of the camp,Mr. Edward Quao, must allow the authorities to support the commercial activities of the park.


"We
 sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and are committed to providing an outstanding park experience that exceeds community and visitor expectations," the statement read. Meanwhile,Samini and Kofi Kinaata will play at the park which the authorities said is by invitation.

 on the outskirts of Accra, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park is located at the former Accra Polo Ground,where Dr. Kwame Nkrumah declared independence in Ghana. Built in 1990 by the late president, Jerry John Rawlings, the park is a testament to Ghana's rich heritage and opened to the public in 1992.

Over the years, the park has attracted visitors from all overthe world, with around 98,000 people annually who come to pay their respects to Ghana'sfirst president and understandhis life and legacy. . The park was closed for renovations and handed over to President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday.
