Manchester United will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season and the Red Devils want a chance to win the title. United finished in the top four of the Premier League last season and won the Carabao Cup. It was Ten Hag's first season at Old Trafford but his performance with the Reds was impressive.
United have begun to strengthen their squad ahead of next season's tournaments after signing Mason Mount from Chelsea for a fee of £60m. However, Manchester United are keen to sign more players to their squad before the summer transfer window closes. Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and Inter Milan goalkeeper Onana are currently among United's top transfer targets this summer.
Mason Mount is a versatile player who can play in a variety of positions. He can play as an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 formation while Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes will play as two mainstays.
Mason Mount can also play in central midfield in a 4-3-3 formation alongside Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro. Mount can also replace Antony in the right midfield position. The Reds have submitted a second offer of £43m for the Cameroon international, with a deal expected to close next week. Onana is said to have signed a five-year deal with the Red Devils and was a key player for Inter last season as they helped the Serie A giants reach the 2023 UEFA Champions League final. He has worked under Ten. Hag during their time together at Ajax . A reunion at Old Trafford is now very likely.

Kobbie Mainoo appears to have been given a new shirt number at Manchester United with the teen carrying the number '37' as the Premier League giants begin pre-season training this week.
Having his Manchester United debut against Charlton Athletic in this winter's EFL Cup with the number 73 on his back, could be a sign that Kobbie Mainoo has been handed a brand new shirt ahead of the 2023/24 campaign that could hint at His enhanced role in Erik's ten plans of Hag?
The number 37 is of course not a shirt number that a senior player usually wears. But Mainoo leaving the 73 behind seems almost iconic; Some argue that he is also ready to give up the youth team.

"(We want to give) young players the chance to develop their personalities. Have a good life (so that they) can contribute to society. But we want to develop (the players too),” said Ten Hag a few months ago.
The Dutchman named the 18-year-old Stockport-born when asked who in United's next generation could imitate the success of Alejandro Garnacho.
"Kobbie Mainoo is on her way," added Ten Hag. “There is a path to the first team but they have to earn it. We have structure in academia. But talent has to do it on its own.
Kobbie Mainoo has a bright future at Man United
The very talented Mainoo, selected by England at Under-19 level, also made his Premier League debut in a 3-0 win over Leicester City in March. Meanwhile, it is reported that Ten Hag has been looking earned a separate word from Mainoo after United beat Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, as it suggested that 'it could be you, if you keep your feet on the earth'.
Mainoo should get a chance to assert their claim in the pre-season; Ten Hag's side will face old rivals Leeds United in Oslo next week.
According to The Athletc's Laurie Whitwell, Charlie Savage, Hannibal Mejbri and former Under-18 captain Rhys Bennett are all training with United's first team. Amad Diallo and Alvaro Fernandez also hope to win; back from fantastic loan spells at Sunderland and Preston North End.
