Sporting Lisbon is one of the best clubs in Europe known for the nature of young talents before letting them join other clubs as they continue with creativity. These are the 10 most expensive acquisitions in Sporting Lisbon's football history.



1. Bruno Fernandes - Portuguese attacking midfielder joined Manchester United from Sporting CP in the 2019/2020 season for 65 million euros. His creativity and good finishing have made him a target for most European clubs.



2. Manuel Ugarte - The Uruguayan central defensive midfielder joined Paris Saint Germain in the summer transfer window of 2023 for a fee of 60 million euros.



3. Matheus Nunes - The Portuguese central midfielder joined Wolverhampton from Sporting CP in the 2022/2023 season for a fee of 45 million euros.



4. Joao Mario - Portuguese central midfielder graduated from Sporting CP academy. He joined Inter Milan in the 2016/2017 season for 44.8 million euros. He currently plays for Inter Milan.



5. Pedro Porro - Spanish right-back joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window of 2023 for 40 million euros.

Liverpool's pre-season is underway as Jurgen Klopp prepares to welcome a host of player debuts back to Kirkby.



The Red Devils have had an unsatisfactory season so far with the acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, but now all the focus will be on Liverpool's fitness as they look to make a comeback in the Premier League. Top 4 next season. Klopp's men now have five matches announced as they bid for full fitness.


Eight members of Klopp's main squad will return for the first day of pre-season, including Adrian, Stefan Bajcetic, Fabinho, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Darwin Nunez, Nathaniel Phillips and Thiago Alcantara. Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones will join at a later date following their success with England at the European Under-21 Championship. The first was matches against Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth in Germany. They will then host Leicester City and Bayern Munich as part of their tour of Singapore, before returning to the UK to meet SV Darmstadt 98 at Deepdale Stadium in Preston North End.
