Mr. Mohammed stated, "The only means for a journalist, clergyman, civil servant, or public servant to be corrupt and take from the State is through a channel, which is created by a political appointee."

"As legislators, we should concede that defilement is a concern, however the greatest of everything is the debasement inside the political tip top, and in the event that we don't battle it we'll stay here and cry consistently," he added.

Alluding to the gathering of abundance, he said: " You have lawmakers in this country who in the span of four years, whether under whichever government, assemble the most costly houses and lodgings and no one says anything."

He urged religious leaders to support civil society and government efforts to combat corruption by doing more: It ought to be included in their sermons. Municipal obligations should likewise be typified in our instructive educational plan."

Mr. Hanson-Nortey, on the other hand, stated that the cost of running for political office in Ghana was directly related to all of the schemes of corruption that the nation had witnessed over the course of the previous 20 or 30 years.

He stated that competing in the general election was more expensive than competing in the primaries.

Therefore, you would need to recoup approximately $500 million over the course of approximately four years. Businesspeople frequently back politicians in the hope that if you become president, you will award them contracts to recoup their funding.

The Tema Central MP stated, "Let's put in measures that would ensure political funding and hold politicians to account for where their monies come from."

Teacher Enoch Opoku Antwi, a Public Strategy Expert, said there was a great deal of "squander in our framework" devastating the economy

"All the waste we're seeing is going into individual pockets, and except if we address debasement, we won't ever tackle our concerns," he said, and added that "we should make our regulations work".
