Bawumia explains why Mahama and the NDC are afraid of me. Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has already started making his case to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to make him their candidate for the presidential elections in 2024.
The vice president talked to party members in the Ashanti Region over the course of the week about why he is the best candidate to help the party win power for an unprecedented third consecutive term, or "Break the 8," including the threat he poses to the NDC, the main opposition party.
He stated that the NDC is having nightmares about him because they are aware that their campaign would be doomed from the start if he became the NPP's candidate.
He stated that the NDC's campaign message since the 4th Republic was that the NPP does not like Muslims or Northerners, but that this message would be illogical if he were elected to lead the party.
"Assuming you take a gander at every one of the 10 individuals who might be vieing for the NPP flagbearership position, I'm the individual the NDC fears most. "Why do they have such a fear of me? Since 1992, the NDC's campaign has been based on religion and tribalism. Therefore, "their campaign would sink if the NPP chose Dr. Bawumia as its flagbearer," he stated.
