Ghanaian International Alexander Djiku and Fenerbahçe have reached an agreement on a contract until June 2027. A signing-on fee of €1.5M. The annual salary of €1.7M. Medical test schedule within 24/48hrs then the official signature will follow

The Black Stars defender is set to seal a lucrative move to the ?ükrü Saraco?lu Stadium outfit on a free transfer.


Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahçe SK are in pole position of completing the acquisition of Ghana centre-back Alexander Djiku in the ongoing summer transfer window.



The 28-year-old will be joining the Turkish top-tier club on a free transfer following his decision not to extend his contract at French side RC Strasbourg.

 

Djiku kicked against a contract extension talks with RC Strasbourg after his three-year deal with the club had ran out at the end of the 2022/23 season's campaign.

 

A host of clubs across Europe including Nottingham Forest, Villarreal and VfB Stuttgart have been shooting admiring glances at the hard-tackling guardsman in their bid to lure him.

 

It's understood that RC Strasbourg Alsace were hell-bent on keeping their captain and with the recent investment by BlueCo, owned by American investors of Chelsea football club , the 28-year-old could stay put at the Stade de la Meinau with a contract extension. But he has chosen to look elsewhere for a new experience in his football career.

 

He made over 120 appearances for RC Strasbourg Alsace since joining them from SM Caen in 2019.

 

Djiku has been capped 20 times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars after opting to represent them on the international stage. 


Alexander would be one of Ghanaian players would have had their dream of moving this summer come through. 


Other news have it that Thomas Partey

would stay at North London based club Arsenal for the coming season after debunking his Saudi Arabia move.
