July 7th, Guwahati Apparently being tormented by his father for the past few days, a four- year- old boy was rescued by police in Assam' s Tinsukia district on Friday, according to officials.
Police claim that when they conducted a home invasion raid, they found the victim' s child restrained with a rope.
According to a senior police officer, the child stated that his father had hit him with a hammer, yet injury marks were discovered all over his body, particularly on his hands.
Tinsukia Director police officer, Gaurav Avijit Dilip stated that Santosh Debnath, the dad of the child, was detained.
" After receiving a complaint, our police team saved the kid, and the father was arrested for allegedly abusing the child. " A case has been filed against the individual for a number of IPC violations, and additional investigation is still ongoing, the officer said.
The mom of the child filed the complaint. She had been in an affair with Dèbnath and when they broke up two years ago, the man retained custody of the kid.
Reporters were told by the mother that the dad had been mistreating the child for some time.
" He chained the boy, beat him, and used a hammer to break his fingers. " He has serious wounds, she lamented.
According to authorities, the kid was found rope- bound and injured. The youngster' s wrists and legs were bound together with rope. He was bleeding, and his hands showed evidence of injury, a Digboi police officer said.
The boy' s report will be recorded by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) after the child was sent to the hospital for treatment.
