Secret Service Closes WH Cocaine Investigation, No Suspects Named Rep. The Secret Service announced on Thursday that they were not able to identify the suspect who brought cocaine into the White House, ending the investigation.
The Secret Service said in a statement that the cocaine was found on July 2nd “inside a receptacle used to temporarily store electronic and personal devices prior to entering the West Wing.” The statement went on to claim that they would be thoroughly investigating “how this item entered the White House,” including a “methodical review of security systems and protocols.”
The Secret Service revealed that the FBI’s lab results on Wednesday “did not develop latent fingerprints and insufficient DNA was present for investigative comparisons.” After the news was announced to lawmakers, Rep Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) reportedly stormed out of the briefing, calling the investigation “bogus” and a “complete failure.” “They know who goes in the White House. They have facial identification, they have — y’all know you can’t go in there without giving your Social Security number anyway, and to say that it’s just some weekend visitor, that’s bogus,” Burchett said. “Nobody’s buying that at all.”
According to Republican officials, one gram of the substance was found in the 15th of 182 lockers with the key missing. “They were able to narrow down a list of approximately 500 people that had left a small bag of cocaine,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told reporters. “My question to them was, have they drug-tested this list of 500 potential suspects that brought an illegal substance, or drug, cocaine, into the White House? Their answer was ‘no’ and that they’re unwilling to do so.”
“The real concern here is American citizens every single day go through drug tests as part of their employment for their jobs. This is a common practice,” she added. With all the drug testing tools available, a list of approx 500 people, surveillance cameras, fingerprints, and more, the Secret Service is ending their investigation on who brought cocaine in the White House with ZERO suspects!
But the DOJ is still arresting and prosecuting… Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) said that it would have been “very unusual” to drug test random citizens and she had constitutional-related concerns regarding the matter. Despite this, she reportedly found the investigation “disturbing” because she was one of several lawmakers “who were recently sent a white powdery substance in the mail.” Headed to get answers from the Secret Service about the bag of cocaine found at the White House near the Oval Office.
It’s outrageous with the surveillance at the White House that this administration still hasn’t disclosed the identity of the cocaine culprit.
Former President Donald Trump took to Truth social to comment on the matter. “THEY 100% KNOW WHO IT IS. If they don’t release information, it means they destroyed the tapes & the Cocaine was for use by Hunter, & probably Crooked Joe, in order to give this total disaster of a President a little life and energy,” Trump said on Truth Social.
There were a slew of conflicting reports about where the cocaine was found. It was initially reported that the substance was found in the White House library. However, Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, later told reporters that it was in a “heavily traveled” part of the West Wing. Then, it was reported that the cocaine was found near the Wets Executive entrance, a more secure area near where the vice president parks her car.
