Many people are in critical condition in the accident inAssin Fosu 
A tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, July 13, 2023 in the morning at the Assin Fosu section of the Cape Coast-Kumasi highway left manypassengers including children between the ages of 5 and 10 in a critical condition.
The accident occurred at approximately 6am, involving a Sprinter bus at stop #AW 3191-13, a Nissan Caravan commercial vehicle #GT 5914-16 and a Toyota Vitz vehicle #GW7187-22.
The injured were taken to St. Francis Xavier in Assin Fosu for treatment. Informationgathered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan indicates that the driver behind the taxi was traveling from Assin Fosu toAssin Juaso town.
While negotiating to his left onthe road, the driver of the commercial vehicle Nissan Caravan registered GT-5914-16 traveling from Assin Fosu toAssin Sienchem at full speed passed count on taxi name GW-7182 - 22 from the back. ANissan Caravan with registration number AW-3191-13 then rammed into a sprinterparked on the shoulder of the road, according to witnesses.
Therefore, the strong impact of the speed blocked the door of the Nissan Caravan, thereby throwing the injured person out of the window. All the vehicles were badly damaged.
After receiving the information, the North Central Regional MTTD, including personnelfrom the Assin Fosu Fire Station, went to the scene to ensure that the injured were taken to hospital. The police have opened an investigation into the accident.
