According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool player Jordan Henderson has gained permission from Jurgen Klopp to join Al Ettifaq this summer.

The Liverpool captain is ready to leave Anfield after getting a huge offer from Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq.

Gerrard has campaigned for the signing of his former Reds teammate, and Al Ettifaq have offered the midfielder a weekly wage of £700,000.

Henderson has been contemplating leaving Liverpool ahead of next year's European Championship.

However, it has been reported that the 33-year-old accepted the Saudi proposal on his table.

He has spoken with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who has approved the deal.

The midfielder has a verbal agreement to join Al Ettifaq this summer.

The arrangement is now contingent on Al Ettifaq reaching an agreement with Liverpool on a fee.

The Reds are unlikely to let him depart on a free transfer and will likely want a large transfer price.

Liverpool have lost three central midfielders this summer and could lose a fourth, according to sources, so it's no surprise Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen the engine room.

Alexis MacAllister was signed from Brighton & Hove Albion to fill a void in a critical area, and Ryan Gravenberch was also on their radar, but according to Neil Jones of Caught Offside, Liverpool would not pursue the latter.

After Bayern Munich informed Liverpool that Gravenberch was not for sale, the Reds pursued alternative targets, landing Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. However, the 21-year-oldBarcelona won the Spanish La Liga title last season and will undoubtedly be looking forward to defending the trophy again next season. The Catalans have been quite active in the transfer market this summer, signing Iigo Martinez, Victor Roque, and Ilkay Gundogan to improve the quality of their current squad. The Spanish Giants are aiming for every major championship in Europe next season, since they are known to be ambitious when it comes to competing for trophies, just like any other great team.

So, in today's piece, I'll go through Barcelona's likely lineup for next season, which might see them defend their La Liga championship. Let us investigate.
