Few days ago, the New Patriotic Party released the final list of contenders for the party' s presidential position ahead of the 2024 election. This was done after taking all the contestants through laid down questions by a committee formed days to the vetting and led by former Speaker, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye.

The vetting process gives way for all the ten aspiring candidates to take part in the special election that will be conducted before the main polls to get five candidates before the election because they all provided convincing responses indicating any of them is capable of sending the party to victory in 2024.

Though still not clear those likely to be among the five aspirants, it is believed that about 54% of Ghanaian voters want former Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to lead the New Patriotic Party into the 2024 polls ahead of a perceived forerunner, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, this is according to the latest poll by Global Info Analytics.

Throwing more light on the findings, the Executive Director said Alan is the preferred choice of floating voters.

He noted that of all Ghanaian voters, 54% of them said they will vote for Alan, for he' s their preferred candidate. Also, he said, 46% will prefer Dr. Bawumia and 21% will prefer Kennedy Agyapong.

Global Info Analytics in its latest report said that the poll gave an indication that 45% of NPP voters want the vice president to lead the party.

According to the institute' s Executive Director, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is placed third in the poll, stating that the majority of his supporters would rather vote for Alan Kyerematen if there' s a run- off in the primaries. He again predicted that Dr Bawumia may lose the primaries if there' s a run- off.

This race is going to be a tough race slightly affecting ghanaians in the sense  that all representatives are abled.
