The Magpies were recently forced to remove Antonee Robinson off their transfer list after the defender agreed to extend his stay at Fulham. In other news, there has been no movement on Kieran Tierney's planned move to St James' Park.
Renan Lodi was also linked with a move to Newcastle earlier this year, but he is now expected to leave the club.

The 25-year-old appeared to be a viable alternative to Tierney, and surely far less expensive than the Scotland international.
We now know that Lodi would have been significantly less expensive, but a relocation to Tyneside is not on the cards.
Lodi has agreed to join Marseille.
According to Romano, this is due to the defender's deal with Marseille. According to the transfer expert, the Ligue 1 club would pay Atletico Madrid £11 million for the Brazilian international.
