The 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who is out of contract next summer, is expected to leave Old Trafford in the coming weeks, with several clubs expressing interest.
Saudi Arabia's clubs are keen, according to Fabrizio Romano. He says Premier League clubs, including Fulham, are also "working" on a deal. But Turkish side Galatasaray approached Manchester United with an offer. In fact, the Super League champions have already submitted an opening proposal.
Romano says, however, that United rejected the bid, with the transfer fee falling below expectations.
After the FA Cup final last month, Fred conceded he could have played his final game for the club. "I still don't know," he said of his future. "I have to talk to my family."
He added, "I still have one year left on my contract here. Now it's holiday time and an excellent opportunity to rest. I'll talk to my staff and the club and see what everyone decides. "I havetalked with Erik ten Hag as well; he's the manager, and the conversation must involve everyone. It will be interesting to see how the next season plays out.
"I want to be significant; I want to help the team, so we'll see. But I've always been and still am very happy at Manchester United." Fred, who joined Old Trafford from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018 for Ł47 million, has tellingly changed agents ahead of a possible move away this summer.
He was previously represented by former Arsenal and Brazil midfielder Gilberto Silva. However, he has decided to switch to Brazilian agency Energy Sports, which oversaw Gabriel Jesus' move from Manchester City to Arsenal last year. Fulham is also keen on Fred's signature. Monthshave passed since Silva chatted with the midfielder after last season's clash at Old Trafford.
The stalwart midfielder needs to fight for a place in the new-look Manchester United team or find a team that will grant him more playing time. He could also choose some of the lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia.
