Kelleher has been linked with a number of clubs, as the highly rated keeper isn't expected to remain on the bench for another season at Liverpool. At 24 years old, and only playing four games last year, it's widely believed that now is the time for the Cork native to step up to first-team football.
The talk of interest in the young shotstopper has cooled in recent weeks. However, according to the Mail, Wolves have shifted their focus to bagging Liverpool's number two. However, that doesn't mean Jurgen Klopp will be willing to part ways with him, as the German native rates his young keeper highly.
With Allison Becker firmly in the number one spot at Anfield, there are no signs of a shake-up in the startingpositions. However, Klopp fears an injury or suspension at that position could leave his team vulnerable.
Caoimhin Kelleher making a save for Liverpool
The Reds manager has called Kelleher before for big games in the Champions League, Premier League and has always started him in the Carabao Cup. In 2022, the keeper played every game in Liverpool's run to the cup final. He even scored one of the penalties in the shootout against Chelsea to win it.
The English side is also in the Europa League this year as they failed to qualify for a Champions League spot. This means that Kelleher could get more starts in the early rounds of that competition.
Stephen Kenny and Ireland fans will want to see the Irishman play regular football, however, and it appears that Wolves are in the most likely position to give him that.
