David Moyes takes a jab at Arsenal and provides an update on the Declan Rice trade.

The West Ham boss has stated that he is growing bored of waiting for an update on Declan Rice's transfer to Arsenal since it is interfering with his ability to plan for next season.

David Moyes has intimated that the protracted nature of Declan Rice's move to Arsenal is beginning to irritate him, despite the fact that the £105 million deal has still to be finalised.

The cost was agreed upon by Arsenal and West Ham at the end of last month, according to reports, although Rice has yet to be introduced as a Gunner after more than a fortnight. Some have stated that the delay is becoming increasingly irritating to the Hammers, as it is now impeding their own ambitions to enhance their squad.

Rice and Arsenal's personal conditions were also agreed upon some time ago, and the biggest talking point around this lengthy transfer story is simply why no announcement has been made.

Moyes has publicly stated that West Ham's hands are tied when it comes to resolving their own incomings until Rice's transfer is finalized. The Scotsman lamented before the Hammers' pre-season friendly against Perth Glory, saying, "Until it's done, we can't plan anything."

"Everyone is aware of the situation, and we are expecting something to occur." I believe you (Sky Sports) stated it was completed two weeks ago, and it is still not completed."

That latter remark appeared particularly directed at Arsenal and their haste, or lack thereof, in ironing out the finer elements of the trade. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has also been asked if fans can expect an announcement soon.

"I don't know," he said when asked about the transactions for Rice and Ajax star Jurrien Timber. "We are working on them, and when we have something to announce, we will."

Rice's social media activity has also sparked debate, as the England international took to Instagram to post photos of himself performing personal training and staying fit at a base in Portugal called The Campus.

Rice, 24, was not the only Premier League player in attendance, as he was seen exercising alongside Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes and one of Tottenham's newest arrivals, James Maddison.
