Mike Ocquaye is an advocate for developing consensus.

Dr. Aaron Michael Oquaye is a professor.

Prof. Mike Ocquaye, who served as Speaker of Parliament previously, believes that mediocrity in the political system of the country has rendered democratic governance ineffective. According to Professor Ocquaye, people are no longer promoted to positions of leadership based on their qualifications but rather on the personal relationships they have.

Prof. Ocquaye mentioned former President John Kuffour and former Senior Minister J.H. Mensah as persons Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia mentored while speaking in Accra as the Chairman of the celebration of the 110th birthday of Prime Minister Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia. Both of these individuals exhibited exemplary leadership qualities, which are something that is lacking in the political space at the present time.

He advised political leaders to take a cue from Dr. Busia's leadership and "develop talents for the benefit of Ghana" by studying his approach.

At the commemoration of Ghana's former Prime Minister from 1969 to 1972, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia's anniversary, a diverse group of politicians and intellectuals were in attendance. The individual who is said to have been the first person of African descent to attend Oxford University in the United Kingdom was the subject of several stories. Following the control of the military, Dr. Busia helped to restore civilian administration in his role as a nationalist leader. However, his term was cut short after only 27 months in office, an occurrence that former Speaker of Parliament Prof. Mike Ocquaye termed as the worst tragedy in the country's political history. His term was cut short after only 27 months in office.

Prof. Ocquaye praised Dr. Busia as an exemplary head of state, noting that his management approach and strategy for combating corruption were admirable and deserving of being followed as models.

Akosua, the second daughter of Dr. Busia, stated that her father had positive goals and aspirations for Ghana.

Former President Kufuor, who was represented by his special aid Dr. Kwabena Osei Adubofour, expressed his satisfaction at having Dr. Busia serve as his Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs during their time together. Samuel Abu Jinapor, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Patrick Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, an Economist and Researcher at the University of Ghana, Dr. George Donfeh, Dr. Anane Adjei of the Busia Institute, and Boakye Agyarko all spoke highly of Dr. Busia. Boakye Agyarko was also in attendance.

They asked the administration to give some of his suggestions for fostering development more consideration. On July 11, 1913, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia was born in Wenchi, which is located in the Bono Region. In addition to his education at Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast and Achimota School in Accra, he completed additional coursework at a number of universities located all over the world. In 1972, General I.K. Acheampong was able to topple him from power.
